Discover the atmosphere of the Cotnari Vineyards wrapped in history, local traditions and unique wine. Cotnari, one of the most famous and well-known vineyards in Romania, built on the foundation of a history of approximately 2000 years, is proud to be the only vineyard where exclusively local varieties have been preserved: Grasă de Cotnari, Fetească Albă, Tâmiaosă Românească and Francuşa. The Romanian varieties grown here cover an area of approximately 1700 hectares.
Along with your guide and the interesting stories about the history of the place, wineries, wines and Stefan the Great, you will visit different sections of the winery and you will go through the impressive collection of wines in the wine cellar, here you can find about 1 million bottles, of which the oldest the preserved wine bottle is from 1956. The route will lead you to the tasting room where you will get to know the flavors of Cotnari wine and the famous Grasa de Cotnari.
In the afternoon, the visit will continue with a stop at the "Ionela Mihuleac" Creation Workshop to get to know the Cucuteni ceramics and its beautiful story more than 5 thousand years old.
